Trying to get an approximate age on this axe head, it has a modern look but this style has been produced since the 1850’s I think. It was found in Virginia, about a mile from anything.

Looks like it is from the late 1800's
 
I would say late 1800s to early 1900s. Hard to say exactly.
 
My guess is 1861 to 1918.
