Had pretty good day kayaking yesterday, few decent points and blades, many brokes, shark and ray teeth. The large "rock" in the right of the photo is actually fossil earbone (tympanic bulla) from a whale.

Great hunt. You guys have a lot of colorful quartzite. I knew an old timer from Ma who drove himself to the Nottoway River into his 80's, walk fields for a week, and come home with a bundle. Especially quartzite. I still got one of his frames.
That red base is some nice color quartzite. Nice to be able to find fossils as well.
