DSC00769.webpDSC00770.webpDSC00771.webpDSC00772.webpI have been digging through old finds stuff...
some of them date back 35+ years of finds...
All items in my opinion are either very rare or have eluded research...
Some of these items I have an "idea" about
others I have no clue whatsoever...
Lets see who can solve some of the mysteries I have held onto over the years...
Most of these items I will be posting are PRE internet days... (pre google anyway)

ITEM #3...
PURE silver...
This one is one of my favs.
no marks.

Good eye bramble
that is the exact coat of arms...
coolio... now if it can be tracked to where this is from

The Philippines were a Spanish colony, which had no own arms, but use dthe arms of the Spanish East Indies. The first real arms were designed in the early 1900s under American rule. The new arms were base don the shield of the United States bearing the arms of the city of Manilla. As a crest the American eagle was used. Beneath the shield was the scroll with the words Philippine Islands. It remained unaltered until the inauguration of Commonwealth of the Philippines in 1935.

Well, I suppose some sailor got takson stinko, which means drunker'n a skunk, thought it was pretty and bought it. I was in P I in '56, and was very surprised at the silver money that said United States of America.
