Well here are two Argillite points. This material like some others is a hard material to find whole. These points typically break upon impact. After hunting for over 23yrs. I have found only a couple of whole points made of Argillite. These points are made of Purple Argillite. I have found purple and pink argillite on the sites that I have searched. Probably only about 8 whole ones. I am trying to get a frame of these made up so i've decided to start buying them. These are my first two aquisitions. The first point was labeled a Piedmont and the other a Susquehanna Broad. I believe the Piedmont typed one is either a Genessee point or a Stringtown. I'm leaning towards Stringtown due to flaking to the median ridge. The other one i'm leaning towards Orient Fishtail. The base style is similiar to Susquehanna Broad but it is screaming Orient to me!!!.......... .......................I'm happy about these two and look forward to getting this frame together................................If any of you PA, NJ collectors would like to donate to my cause and save me some money please feel free too.........................just sayin.............lol.....................GTP
