Went back to the same Baltimore City park in search of old coins and relics this morning and investigated 4 small areas.

First spot is an area around old tree stumps but it is super trashy so I jacked up discrimination to 60 and ended up digging a bunch of clad quarters and dimes.

Turned disc down to 11 as I moved to a new spot and was hearing more of the iron so I kicked it up a little and worked my way over to spot 2. Here I dug a 1903 IHC and then about 10 ft away, a V-nickel. This area produced a number of wheats and, in fact, four more were dug from the same hole as the IHC.

On to spot 3 where I targeted a war nickel, 1943P.

Last stop was the area that gave me the Williams Cleaner, fatty Indian and 1781 half real. Dug some foil and then another faint high tone. The dirt ball containing the target showed a small, thin silver edge. I could not identify the small, coin-shaped object that I broke out of the ball. A clean in water revealed an 1852 trime!

Here's the link to the video on YouTube -

Last three consecutive hunts in this end of the park have produced "old" silver. Last pic is all three "oldies" taken 9/16, 9/17 and 9/20.

Thx Ken! First I ever found was at Patterson Park; that park is closed to us now. Druid never gave me one, nor did Riverside.
This one is sweet.

Thx Johncoho! It was a grimy trime! Readable now. :)

Sorry about that. The auto correct changed it to grime. It is still a really nice three cent piece. At least that didn't auto correct.

Wow, for some of us, you everything you found was a bucket lister! totally amazing finds! congrats!:occasion14:

Well Mc,, you got yourself a very sweet spot.
Congrats on some beautiful coins.

Nice work Mike. Congrats on the nice variety of coins. I found my first trime also this month. same year 1852.

couldn't ask for better shape on the reale and trime. Very nice!

Hey Daryll, congrats on your trime. We found them with different machines. I'd like to try a Garrett someday; it gets a lot of good reviews.

Thx ATW! Had an idea that I wanted to grid search this side of the park but left this section for last, not knowing what it contains.

Thx dirtlooter! Yes, from this site I've come to expect keepers and they just keep coming. This is a stream valley park that stretches between major roadways in NE Baltimore City, so there is a good probability that many more finds are waiting.

No worries. I liked the grime.

Great Trime!! Really nice Reale. Nicely done, congrats and HH

Beautiful Trime! I have only ever found one badly worn silver 3 center :dontknow:

Hey Brad! First trime since Patterson closed down!

Very nice old coin shooting, congratulations! :occasion14:

Awesome hunt!! Congrats!!!

Beautiful trime, McCDig. You found an area not hunted to death in the past. Good luck this weekend. Hope to see your finds at the next meeting.

You've got some awesome finds there- Congrats! Those 3-centers are tough- still looking for my first of either type and I've been hunting here in Mass for 26 years..
