More silver from the fields

Spent some more time with a friend yesterday, searching the old athletic fields. Had another good day with silver. Also found quite a few clad pieces and pennies, both wheat and memorials, and a totally fried large cent.

Over the years, these fields have been used for all kinds of sports and activities. Right now they are used for softball, baseball, rugby, soccer, football and even model plane flying. No wonder there is still such an abundance of coins and other items in the ground. But, for the most part, the coins are very deep. Even some of the clad quarters are 6-8 inches deep. The silver is somewhat deeper.
