nightstalkersdon'tquit,Silver is silver, nice score dude! God Bless Chris

thanks , this spot is weird no coins found this up on a hill near a corn field that looked to be good for sleding so i went to swinging and out pops this all i could say is no freaking way

Just a question, How do you know that it's Silver slag? Seems like alot of wasted Silver, Just asking.HH

Slag is some weird stuff. Looks like a good fire happened there once upon a time. That stuff looks just like a piece I found in my yard that weighed over 40 grams. I fully recommend everyone getting an acid test kit.... cuz the stuff we dig doesnt always have markings on it anymore.

Nice diggins.... you got a weight on that yet?

i use a acid test and take to a jewelry store an have them check also, no scale weight yet , i will get my old lady to take it work she has a scale i the deli that will work

thanks giant056

This sounds and looks like a bunch of the stuff I have been finding. A few of the pieces seem to have a gold vein in the core. The slag is testing good for silver but the other pieces need a different test as it seems to be a mixed metal but it is holding for platinum. It has me real confused, what and how do you test for mixed metals? :BangHead:
