This am my buddy Steve and i decided to meet at a school we had luck at last time. We immediately got tossed by the police. No big deal. We go down the road 5 minutes to another school but this one is huuuuuge. We first start out at the baseball diamond where the only cool thing we saw was a red tail hawk swoop down and get a squirrel. After that we moved to an area with a group of 6-7 huge old oak trees. Here is where my buddy Steve called me over and showed me an 1891 seated dime in great shape! We were both freaking. Not more than 10 minutes later I get a sweet silver signal and it took about 2 minutes to find it in the hole but I knew I saw shiny so I called Steve over. After fishing it out we saw very very slick 1877 dime with absolutely no reverse. After that Steve got a large copper and I dug a huge silver pendent. Took me 4 years to find seated :) thanks for looking everyone! ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1518895361.287605.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1518895374.685768.webp

Congrats! Nice hunt!

Congrats on the seated! I’m still looking for my first.

I’m liking the hawk and squirrel pic too.

Very well done.

Congratualtions on the seated! :occasion14:

Very nice finds.

Man congratulations I’m 3 years in and only got a 1875 Seated Dime counterfeit. Still looking for the real deal. Once again congratulations

cool pic of hawk having lunch. One of these days I will get a dime other than couple of mercs and rosies. Congrats on your find

Grate find on your first seated. Is the medal marked silver? Will Steve post that nice dime?

congrats on the seated, on my bucket list. always cool to see a hawk catch its prey, They tend to tenderize with their claws over and over but I figure it is to ensure that it is really dead.

Yep, it’s marked “creed sterling” I’m not sure if Steve will post it! I’ll ask permission to post it on here to show you if he doesn’t!

I've played in the dirt since I was about 8. To date I think I'm up to 3 or 4 seateds. Good job.

Congrats on the first seated! I got a quarter but I'd really like to dig up a seated dime this year.

good day to be a metal detector.... bad day to be a squirrel !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! congrats

Congrats on your first Seated dime. Fun to find old silver. I love experiencing nature when hunting. Excellent picture of the hawk with his dinner guest. What a great day you two had.

Ouch ! Wouldnt want to be that squirrel. Congrats on your Seated Dimes.

Congratulations on the awesome finds! What's freaky is last year when I found my first seated dime I also dug a large sterling miracle medallion in the same hunt. When I saw your finds on the detector it was like deja vu. :laughing7:
