Motorist sets lighter to spider near his fuel door at gas station

I was at a gas station filling my tank and looked over at a girl pumping her gas with a lit cigarette in her pump hand...
I said hey put that ******* cigarette out... and she just ignored me.
I said what the ****... are you friggin stupid ? you could kill yourself or someone,
got louder so that the other 10 people pumping gas were aware of the potential situation.

She just walked away smoking.

There was at least 15 witnesses / people around.

I'd trust a cigarette in someones mouth or Hand over an open Flame at the
gas tank though

Recently I heard of them blaming Static Electricity for Gas Station fires also.
they said be sure to touch your car before preparing to pump gas

almost all stations here in PA are Self Serve.
I know of one full service station here in the County,
and I wouldn't be surprised to find out it's because of Gas thefts,
or Boredom

Don't tell anybody, but I was in Idaho and stopped to get gas....I sat there waiting....waiting...finally I realized, pump your own petrol!!

I remember the good old days, when gas was cheap and you had your windows clean, your oil check, all free including free air for your tires. I am wondering if the was signs there" No Smoking" ? From now on, complain to the staff.

You would have freaked watching us change decals at gas stations! Using turbo heaters in the cold, using propane bud torches, heat guns,small propane torches. Right by the pumps. Laws might have changed since then. But it's harder than people think to ignite it. You can actually put a cig out in gas. Still, Probably has a higher risk, if everything is just right, with it in your hand though while pumping!

Yes... There would have been "words" to say the least...
If I was pumping gas and looked over and saw you with a "torch" or any other open flame near a gas pump.
An open flame is WAY worse than a cigarette.

Regardless...
It was not that that chick was just plain STUPID that made me curse her... Stupidity does not "piss me off"...

It was her disregard for everyone else around her... Including me... that pissed me off to make a "scene".
