Found 20 some years ago on ranch behind my place in Houston County. A lot of erosion after logging. We have no lithic material, maybe a little petrified wood. Everything has to be walked in from somewhere. My friend Raymond found the pink one in a wash-out. We mostly find chips, a few good ones, but not many, all small. He hollered out “Douglas I found a big piece, nice”. I found the big piece in a wash-out ditch. Can’t believe they didn’t repurpose it. Just no material.
My question, could the red substance on the white one be the iron in blood crystalized? Maybe a stupid question but looks right. And right color, plus type? Houston County TX, Grapeland.
Thanks, Doug
