Congrats, actually encouraging post for me as the same exact thing is happening with me, only difference house sold about a month ago after being on market for about 6 months, still waiting to see someone to ask. The lawn is just as daunting here, but was thinking about same exact offer.

I have often thought about making that same offer..... glad to see someone finding awesome finds..... you know we need more people like you in our hobby..... mowing grass.... showing that we can give back and aren't just looking for a free ride..... and I loved the part bout the holes..... filling in holes well benefits everyone! I hope that you find some very awesome things there..... was really deep though at 12".. I have a Spectrum XLT and the deepest I have gone is 8" for a large cent.... in fact 2 of em a foot apart... both at 8"

Great deal and great finds. I'd be back mowing regularly for the chances at a site like that.

I had a kid offer to mow my lawn at the old house and I'm pretty sure he wanted to buy a new MXT, 'cause that's about the equivalent value of what he expected in payment. "No thanks", I told him, "I don't make that in two hours myself".

I went back today, for about an hour, and managed to pull this. My first Walker, a 1937, at only 4-5 inches. I also found about 20 more clad coins.
I told him I'd mow his lawn every 2 weeks all summer long, if he kept letting me detect it.
So it looks like I have a new spot to work for a while now, that's not too far from home. The lawn is huge. I'd say about 2 acres of grass area. And it should be much easier to mow from now on. lol.
