Mt.Kineo ryholite point

Here is a nice ryholite point.This was there material of choice.Ryholite is what i look for to get me in the right area.I found this point in the sand on a lake shore.Only about a 1\4" of the tip was sticking out.Most of the ryholite i find is faded to near white from exposure.

Thanks guys.Thats my largest rhyolite point.Thats the one advantage of not hunting fields anymore.I dont have to worry about about farm implement damage.These things have a rough enough time staying intact.I find fewer but i think its a good trade.Less for better shape...

Yeah I hunt fields mainly and do find allot more broken ones than even in the creeks. Once in a while you can find a perfect one. Thats a fine looking point.

Yeah rock they have plenty of opportunity to get broken naturally.I know finding an artifact is pretty spiritual to me.
Iknow alot of stuff has got to align before you find a complete piece.What ever your method may be.Feels to me like it was ment to be.But it sure dont hurt to better your odds.You know what i mean Vern?
