Today I stopped at two banks and picked up 2 boxes of nickels, 30$ in CWR of halves and 3 rolls of dollar coins. I have one box of nickels to still search, but the rest yielded the following:

1-1943-P nickel
3- 1939-p nickels
1-1979-S SBA dollar
1-1976-S half
1-2007-P half

Searched another $100 brinks nickel box from my bank. The lady forgot to order my regular two, but she sold me one that he had. Also, gave her a $10 gift card for coffee. She then said they had $200 CWR of halves so I kindly bought those as well. Results:

$200 CWR Halves - Skunked
$100 MWR Nickels - about 8 pre 50. Nothing to write home about.

I did pick up a 71-D Ike dollar though. Oh we'll, win some, lose some.

I feel that anyone that is hand rolling $200 in halves is probably a hunter and sorting out the silver. CWR halves are my absolute worst averages.

Don't know about this one. Although I do get skunked with CWR sometimes. They have also been some of my best scores. Just this week I got 11 90%and 10 40% out of $80 in CWR halves that I almost didn't get because I thought they were probably dumps.

You just never know.

Could I see the other side of the Romanian 5 lei coin? There is something I want to see on the back of your coin.

Says 1992 and a real small VG in the bottom right. Sorry for the delay in posting this. Had to go thru a large bag of misc coinage.

It is worth 60 cents. I was looking for the VG part to determine the value.

Awesome! Do I need to file off the VG so I can make a mint? Thanks for the info!

Would it be worth more without the "VG"?

No, I think the other type had CD VG on the bottom, and it would be a small price difference anyway.

Thanks for the info. I have a large bag full of foreign coins. It's interesting to learn a little about them! HH

You can ask me via PM. I have references for all foreign coins and would gladly help. You may just have a key date in those, you never know.

CWR Halves are my best averages.

To date ( not counting this month )

14052 rolls of MWR Halves - 1:30/40% - 1:116/90% - 1:11245/barber - 1:803/Walker - 1:453/Franklin

523 rolls of CWR Halves - 1:14/40% - 1/127/90% 1:262/Franklins

If I could do the number of CWR's as I did MWR's I would be looking at about 1004 40% halves instead of what I am currently looking at :D

Its cheaper for me to stick with MWR's though, less gas wasted. Every now and then I go get CWRs, like monday I am hoping for 100 rolls at least.

They are listed top to bottom, left to right:

#1- 1940-B Nazi Germany 10 reichspfennig- $0.75 in VF and $3 in XF (I would need a clearer picture to determine which one it is)
#2- 1949-D Germany 10 pfennig- $0.50
#3- 1922 Belgium 1 franc- $0.25 in VF, or $1 in XF (seems unlikely to be VF, but would need a less glared picture to be sure)
#4- 1938? Nazi Germany 1 reichspfennig (need to know what the date is and the letter on the "1" side)
#5- 1930 Belgium 5 francs- $6 if coin rotation, or $50 if medal rotation. Die Rotation - What is the Die Rotation on a Coin?
#6- 1958 Haiti 10 centimes- $0.05
#7- 1927 Belgium 25 centimes- $0.25
#8- 1942 Belgium 1 franc- $0.75 (maybe a little less due to zinc corrosion)
#9- 1953 France 20 francs- $0.25-$0.50
#10- 1939 France 1 franc- $0.15

#7- Christmas Ornament.

Instructions, place string or hook through hole, and place along Christmas tree, preferably with obverse facing outward.

The first of the two boxes of nickels I scored clad shopping.

34 pre 59
1-dateless buffalo
1- 1944-D silver

Last box from the clad shopping:

CWR- about 14 pre 59 and 4 common Canadian nickels and a 1989 German coin ( I forget how much it was, tossed it in the misc coin bag) and the highlight of the box: 1- 1939-S nickel. Interesting, but no silver.

Seems like a 10 pfennig.
