Murph's Lounge token and wheats

It has been a while but I headed for the burbs and hunted some government land today. Found a couple of wheats, a pocket knife, watch, and this token.
It says it is good for 5 in trade. $5 or 5 cents? I have no idea which.

Neat token, I haven't seen too many with an address, I wonder if the place is still around
If your going to go, I'd go big and call it $5000...

Your 5¢ token is from Chicago. The Illinois token book also list 10¢ & $1 denominations. Judging from the style, I would guess this token was issued circa 1905 so I doubt they are still in business.

Your 5¢ token is from Chicago. The Illinois token book also list 10¢ & $1 denominations. Judging from the style, I would guess this token was issued circa 1905 so I doubt they are still in business.

Thanks Ridley---That location has been pounded for years.
I had two other good finds there in about 10 hunts.
An 1865 two cent piece and 1/4 of an English Victorian penny. [1850s]
I guess no site is ever completely hunted out.

Good to see you back out swinging. That token is great. I was going to say just from it's appearance it would have to be from the early 1900's.
