Music box piece age?

I found this and I'm pretty sure I seen it on one of nnoggins vid. Any of you all know the age of the music boxes with this piece? Found an old harmonic reed at the same place.

My wife found a piece identical to that, the census was that it was a piece of a clock.

It does appear to be a clock plate.

Yep, I have found a few of those plates. The accompanying gears led me to believe it was from a clock. But you now have me rethinking.
