Definately a bone crusher. Cant imagine the kick of the gun that fired this ball.
 

Now that's a big ball.....the British made .73 caliber pistol ball's :thumbsup:

Nice finds i dug a lead ball last year the same size it was just under 1 inch, 13/16th i was told they where common before and during the war of 1812 . I used a wheat to show size Good hunt :thumbsup: Jim

I love diggin Musketballs especially the Big Ones. I may be wrong but I think you may have a 75 caliber maybe out of a Brown Bess. I have several of these. A guy that came into our shop the other day said that they most likely were from the Brown Bess.
