MXT and no gold rings.

I investigate anything that is not iron while coin and jewlery hunting and will dig a lot of trash. If I am on an actual playing field, I dig "ALL" non iron targets as usually ther is not much junk where the game is actually played.

Thanks for the Info. I am using the MXT with 6 x 10 eclipse coil. I will try less discrimination and see how that goes. Any other advice would be appreciated.

I'd run the discrimination at 2, sensitivity at "default". If you get a lot of chatter, cut sensitivity a bit. If you are finding pull-tabs and nickels, you will eventually find gold. I believe the only reason you haven't found gold is that your coil hasn't been over any. Go slow, listen for solid repeatable signals, especially the low whispered ones.
