Detector(s) used
MXT
I use an Mxt but the wife and me want to do some beach hunting this year. I have yet to get her her own detector so we are starting to look around. Im thinking of getting her a beach model and using my mxt myself. Supposedly its fine with water as long as you don't get the control box wet. But does it work good with the sand?
Also are there any suggestions for a good beach detector for the wife?
Thanks :)

MXT should be ok in the sand. Has a beach mode that does well in the salt. The Beach hunter Id is a good Beach machine and you will not have to worry about the salt and getting it wet. The box can be belt mounted and the coil is light so it may be a good choice for her. The Minelab excalibur is also great on the beach but the coil weight and price may be a problem on it.
