My 1800's spot gives it up again

I know my titles sound like a broken record but this site never ceases to amaze me image.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webpimage.webp. Took a ride over to my favorite spot as it always gives up something nice. Well today she opened up the chest just wide enough for me to reach in and pull out this ring. Strange one for sure. Looks like a class ring from 1947. Either 10 or 16k. The front says CARTIER and what looks like a comb and scissors??? I don't know. Thanks for looking, Mike

Looks like a great hunt. Awesome to have a go to spot. Congrats

Man I love those old class rings without stones. was it from barber college?

If the title is bringing you good luck keep rolling with it. Awesome job

That's a pretty cool looking ring. Love the older ones. Whatever it is, it's a nice keeper!

Your guess is as good as mine. I tried looking up Cartier high school, Cartier beauty school, barber college to no avail.

Looks like 10k. That's a great find! Wonder if Cartier is the maker( like Jostens) and that's a barber school class ring

There is a Cartier School in Canada. Google just Cartier School

Not so sure it is a class ring. I think it is a barber's ring custom made by Cartier? Just my guess. The do make custom rings still today. I am sure is has good value. Maybe one of a kind. Really nice find.

Oh, and by the color of that gold, I think it is higher than 10K. Should have it checked. Good luck.

A very interesting and detailed ring, Congratulations!

I doubt Cartier would allow such a "unique" ring to leave their workshop:laughing7: Would be nice though.

Congrats on that pulling that funky keeper. That's the 1st I ever saw like that. Bet you're still stoked.

Thanks, I am. It's the 5th gold ring from this site, various signets and the 1800's Tiffany & Co 18k ring.

A very nice ringt must be at least 14k. Could that small trinket be depicting a comb and a womans hair curling tool?

Awesome old ring! Congrats.

:notworthy: What a wonderful digging site to produce so much gold & other goodies! :notworthy: Google Image "1800's hair curling iron" brings up several pictures that resemble what may be a curling iron on your ring -- give it a look. Andi

Great find looks like 10k but a deep scratch making it look like a 16. But regardless prolly an old barber school ring! Which is awesome. Unless it's a Fonzy comb!
