Better than nothing! That '65 penny looks like its been in the ground awhile. Very likely a little silver out there somewhere...

I keep a hoping there is! :wink:
I heard that the first owner of this place used to put his silver coins
down the well pipe. The house was built in 1952 and lots of people
didn't trust banks back then. My wife and I bought the place in 1990
and the well pipe is still there right against the side of the house.
Before farmers started using irrigation, the water table was about 18 feet
around here. (Now it's about 30 feet.) One of these days, Lord willing, I'll
get a hold of a tractor and pull that well pipe and see if the silver story is true.
