My 2nd Half Dime in a week.

By the time i climbed the hill to get to this place my legs felt like rubber.

I'll take that half dime and a pair of rubber legs any day. Look like a great wooded area to hunt. I'd love to have one of those NY woods here in Ohio. Heck I have driven 20 hours round trip to dig in woods like that one. Finds may be scarce, but their quality trumps that.

Sometimes its not the finds that make the day, its the peacefulness and the sounds of your own thoughts. This is the site where my oldest silver came from so i always hit it again every year just to see what i have missed. it has 2 house sites and a barn that one family owned. My oldest silver from here was an 1824 capped bust half.

Yeah for some reason my last 2 hunts scored Half Dimes, i honestly don`t get it. Both times i had my shooter coil on so i must have just hit those spots at an angle where they could be heard between all the iron, and both sites i have been to over and over and over for 7 years. . . I think its our rough NY winters that help shift everything around so no site is ever hunted out. I live in an area where i have access to over a 150 cellar holes, earliest dating to roughly 1790s, . . my hardest decision before a hunt is not where to go. . . but where to go. thanks to everyone who enjoyed my post (:
