OK, nowhere near as sweet as my 1895 "O" Barber Dime, but I'm still thrilled!

This is an 1873 "A" (Berlin mint) Prussian pfennig. Value seems to be around $200 or so.

Came from the front yard of an 1850 Minnesota farmhouse. Unfortunately, I have not been able to learn anything certain about the original owner... that always adds so much to the value of any find for me.

And while I'm here, I also found an old tent rope tensioner in the yard. Apparently these were in use from Civil War to the late 1800s. Sadly, I put a pretty nice gouge in it.

I agree; key date phennig; great save !!
I'd also say maybe greater than $200.
Don........
I almost didn't dig it. It rang up at 17 on my Equinox, and I've been doing a lot of hunting in a park that is full of pull tabs. Had to remind myself consciously that this could be something else.

I have to do the same thing. I hung a old fort that became a park. So it could be a 4” pull tab or a half dime or button.

Nice key date coin.

A killer find !
