My 3rd half dime: we'll call him Humpty Dumpty

I finished one house down the street this morning, finding mostly clad but also this beautiful 45 Merc. I had a few minutes to kill, so I went to the brother's house two doors away. I managed to find a part to the man's tractor and took one final swipe. Out popped this black disk and I thought, "Better check it." Imagine my surprise when I saw the words "Half Dime" appear! Even though this is my third, I was caught off guard. It is in terrible shape, appearing to have been holed and then bent where the hole was. It is an 1853-O, with arrows at the date. It made for a great end to a rather uneventful morning search. I'll call him Humpty Dumpty because "all the king's horses and all the king's men..." Really bad shape, in other words.

Nice find halfdime! Those things are a rare find,I've been doing this hobby more than 25 years and have only found one.It was in salt water so it was black and I tried to clean it with electrolisys and burnt it almost beyond recognition, they are quite fragile.Keep up the nice finds. Bootstrap
