I know the Ace 250 gets a bad wrap most of the time, but it has been proving itself worthy lately.
This afternoon I was working an area that I just knew had gold. I have worked it before without any luck but I keep going back.
When I found this ring I thought it must be a junker.
But no!! It is marked 'Quality Jewelry 14k'
Weighs 15.8g
It has cleaned up nice and is a great fit on my pinky.
Good luck out there.

Were you in the wet or dry? Nice ring BTW

Nice Ring !!!!

Persistence paid !!!

I like my 250 also! It has more than paid for itself. Some complain about depth but in truth most items are found from surface to 4to6 inches in depth. The 250 easily does that. This is a great machine for anyone starting to get into the hobby. I think you get a lot for your dollar for such a low investment. Just my 2 cents.

The gold ring is a great find! Lot of weight to it.! By the way, did it ring up as nickel? Curious

That's one nice hunk of gold...congrats.

Congrats! I fully agree with detectahead- the 250 is a great machine to start off with. Mine paid for itself about 15 times over on the beach alone.

Man, I would have thought it was junk too...Looks like Copper Plate to me dirty.

Great find!!

Treasurecoasteric - I noticed your quote. Is the reason that the beach is a new hunting ground because of the beach goers or the tides. If it is the tides, has your success been primarily in the wet sand or the drier sand after the high tide?

Hi nothing wrong with the ace I won the Minelab comp with one here in aussie I won a ctx
