This token was found at a former 1800's stagecoach in Portland, MI. It is an 1832 Province of Nova Scotia Half Penny "Thistle" Token. At first I thought I had my first large cent, but alas it is from our northern neighbors past, not ours. It is considered to be 'colonial' in Canada due to the date. This sucker was deep too. It was about nine inches down. On the front is a bust of King George and on the back the thistle plant. It is pretty corroded, so it's hard to see but she is a beauty to me!
