I got an email from my bank looking for pennies. I'll turn in the zincolns but not the copper ones. Funny how they're already offering prizes if you bring them some. lol

Some can't except "the change" of fewer cents. I was at the grocery store yesterday and a little old woman was holding up everyone trying to come up with two pennies. Even the clerk was telling her no mind. She dug around in her purse for several minutes until she finally found them. It will be a hard transition for some.

I move to Roswell, NM in 2001. Over the intervening years, I've collected about 200 pounds (no lie!!) of those zinc plated iron imitation pennies. Maybe I should send them mine?

The ones we dig over here on the east coast usually have leprosy. Bet they are in better shape out your way due to drier conditions.
