Looks good can't wait to see them cleaned congrats

Looks like some good finds hiding under that dirt. Just hose them down and run a wire brush or wire wheel over them and you'll be good to go [emoji6]

Loco & Cru were saying that i have to dig all and so i did. Fixed the 8,5x11 coil and got back where i found some very old stuff. I began wirt some nails but later with more nails. Another ferrous sound but with a high tone at the end and it was a coin. Some other iffy sounds that usually correspond with small pieces of cans, but this time they were coins. In the parks, it happens that people live the cans on the grass, the grass grows up and here comes the mower that reduces the can into hundred pieces. Thats why i avoided the iffy sounds before. Also the bigger coil helped me find them even it is harder to pinpoint them.
I've been wondering what happened in this area. Maybe it was a army camp, but the coins are very different ages. And all this religious pendants!
However, i love this area. It takes hours but it's worth it.
I hope i left anything for the next time so i can make a clip.

Great hunt Vince, is there any of the coins you don't know what is? then post some nice pictures of them, and let us that are in the North with frosen ground spend some time on them.:occasion14:

WTG Vince,:occasion14: in the areas you hunt there are thousands of years of history unlike in Ohio where we might, just might, stumble onto a coin from the late 1700's. I hope you continue to dig like you did today. those are some outstanding treasures. :headbang: Thanks for sharing

Looks like you had a great day. How old are the coins?

I didn't have these.
The first is One Soldo from 1777

This one is Sesino from Mantova late 1600

I had this before. The coin should have a round shape but this one seems like they did it in a hurry.
Ducato of Milan Filippo IV 1600-1660

Quattrino Filippo IV, 1621-1665

Wow! Very nice - Congrats!! :occasion14:

Awesome finds ! We get the chopped up beer and soda cans here also, we call it can slaw. Like grating cabbage to make coleslaw. :occasion14:

Very nice looking coins . Love seeing the old ones

Very nice finds. I'm glad you could ID all of them. For me, where I dig, that would be a rarity with age + corrosion. Congrats!

Talk about finding history. Great finds.

Excellent finds.
Oh, and we call those mowed cans "can slaw" over here.

Congrats on a really nice pile of old finds.

Vince I have the feeling that sometime this year you are going to pull a gold coin or 2. Heck if CRUSADER can dig them in the UK, you should find some being on older Roman turf. I am looking forward to reading that post.

awesome finds there Vince, but once again some spectacular photography to boot.

Thanks Loco. Sometimes I think of finding gold coins but most of the time I dream about finding a pile of old gold coins. That will be the day that I won't post anything so u can imagine what happened. :D

Now your starting to understand why I love iffy signals. Many of the smaller Roman Coins I dig are in that range. It takes time but it is simple - Good Sites = Lots of time digging as much as possible. Then returning & digging more, until every nail is gone. Yesterday, I cleared plenty of Roman Nails, but I don't do that on my first grid over, as its too time consuming. As the years go on, I get less & less fussy. If its ploughed land, you can then start to judge how much new material has been turned up. If you just 'cherry pick', not only do you miss some great stuff, the next year you 'hear' all that crap you left, & guess what you hear the year after that & so on.
PS. Bear in mind, I use a 'hear everything' setting when discussing the above. ie. No Disc.
