If I remember correctly, TxTim made banner a while back with a massive score of 90% coins.
must have been before i got here, i stand corrected....got a link to that one?

thanks Dr...i actually posted on that one........2 yrs after :icon_scratch: it was before i started and someone brought it up from the dead.
i always wondered why it was so hard for CRHers to make the banner......i was told it was because we paid for our finds........well what about a guy who pays $10 for a bag of dirt and finds a huge diamond or rare gem?
what about the cost of a metal detector?
how about batteries for the detector?
what about gas for the car?
so aren't others in effect "paying" for thier finds?
i see no rhyme or reason as to why a few made it and many other noteworthy finds or valuable rare coins didn't.
perhaps we can talk to the powers that be and see if we can get our own banner strip. although that surely would bring alot more attention to this hobby of ours and would surely result in a flood of newbies driving our finds down.
hmmmmm.....now that i think about it.....whats worth more......a little recognition or fewer future finds.
i guess the old saying holds......be carefull what you wish for .....it may come true
