My Best Large Cent; 1836 "Matron Head"
I posted this back in the summer of 2006, but I was never happy with the quality of the photo. I got a new digicam and took some photos in natural lighting. This is a great time of year for photos, especially early or late in the day. The sun is not harsh, offering crisp photos with nice tones.
This 1836 "Matron Head" is by far the best condition copper I have found. It has a nice chocolate tone to it and great detail remaining. I wish they all came out of the ground looking like this one.
Thanks for looking!!
