Watchface! Mayo got it for me from 10" of Elgin earth! Beaten up old copper disc of no value to anyone but me! Hey, my birthday, my reality.

Early on, right away in fact when we started swinging, I pulled the 1912 V-nick followed shortly by the '37 wheatie. But we already had wandered away from the circle, where we would have probably had a better day.

Certainly would have. As Mayo mentioned, the R&R express had come to town in the previous 36 or so hours. (Rubber and wRapper)

In this case some sick pervert(s) had done the deed over the body of a freshly murdered calico kitty. The kill and the evidence were all fairly recent. I'd like to meet this freak or freaks.

Shortly after finding that scene, I dug up my third toad to date. Somehow, I never slice or dice them, they come out whole and give me that "Man, you're a real buzzkill" look and I get the coin, this time a wheatie and return the critter to his nap.

Got my new field cleaning tool from Lil' Lowbatts for my B'day and took it along. It's that pink thing in the picture. Yes my sweetie at Wendy's is now down from a size 104 to a size 12 and let everyone know through her four ageless teeth that I wasn't getting the oil on the salad but since I was getting the small frosty it was a wash and her doctor would not approve.

So the sights, sounds and finds of the day went from P'Oed to melancholoy to entertained and enlightened. Got a nice looking Zippo, a baby spoon to match Mayo's, the two bullets were next to the old purse latch, hmmmm...

Three wheaties, one V and vendoteria fodder.

Terrific finds!Looks like you had a great day.I like the pink thing!

Tim, congrats on the V  and your new B-Day "find-scrubber" (batteries included?) :D

Happy Birthday and congrats bud!!! :icon_pirat:

kill a cat and have sex afterwards ? -- they need to get caught fast !! -- before they move up the food chain --- mark my words -- future serial killers at work there -- they might be stupid enought to "reuse" the site --I would alert the local cops and animal welfare types. -- because who ever did that is some seriously F'd up warped type folks.

Awesome Finds! Did you check the back of that V nickel for a mint mark?

Great hunt with a cool nickel!!!

That's not the first table knife like that that you've found. I grabbed one too. Must be a common pattern. Cool Zippo, too. Very Hef-like. :)

Happy Birthday to you! :occasion13: :occasion16: :occasion14:

Thanks folks!
Jon, no "S' on this one and it's well worn. I've had an extraordinary run of key-less coins in my history.

Ivan - Done deal. Went out totlot-ing and met up with the right guy for the job. He's still trying to get the city to put animal cams in that place, maybe this time.

Happy birthday, Tim. A dead cat with a pearl necklace is not what I'd want to get for my birthday, I'd rather receive a lump of coal or even a flaming sack of dog $h!t on my front porch than a feline sacrificed in the name of all that is sick and wrong in the world of bestiality.

I still need to get out there in Elgin with you guys...

Have fun, buddy!

Joe

Congrats on that V-Nic, and Happy 50th Tim!

Happy Birthday :occasion15: Congrats on the nice finds!

I can't and won't attempt to wrap my mind around that cat story. My brain had to reboot a couple of times after reading that. Nice hunt and Happy B-Day Tim.

Happy Birthday Tim! :occasion13: :occasion13: :occasion13: :occasion13: :spam4: :spam4: :spam4:

Congrats on that cool V -nickel, though I'm not sure about that other stuff there.

Happy Birthday, Tim! Sorry I couldn't get out this week. Let me know when you guys plan on hitting that place up again. Or we could take another stab at finding that homestead from last spring too.
