My Brother in Florida Found a Coin Cache
I have one other brother that lives in Florida that MD’s. He gave up on that old White’s and bought an Ace 250. He found a coin cache under an oak tree the first part of January 2008. He just got his computer back up and sent me this picture of the goods.
The Find Story
He said he was getting a real strong but bouncy signal by a tree on an empty lot. So he dug. First he saw a lid and then he could see a jar with coins. He told me visions of silver and gold were dancing through his head. Once he pulled it out this is what it had in it. It had 16 wheat pennies, the newest a 1955, 6 Indian pennies (one an 1880 something) 13 foreign coins and a sharks tooth. He said some guy was walking nearby and when he saw my brother doing the victory dance the passerby guy took off (probably thought he was nuts). My bro said he just kind of sat there in shock for a bit. It sounds like it was probably buried by some kid.
