Well my cousin has been a cashier and now he found some old coins and since i collect coins, he told me to give him a list for what to look for and he'll give them to me. He had someone bring in alot of silver certificates but had to use them( me and my grandfather were not happy with him, he collects too) He already has a 1958 quarter for me. So now i can get old coins for face value!

He wants a list to know what is the good stuff so he can keep the finds for him self

I doubt it because he is 16(im 14) so i dont think he will plus he already gave me some coins already.

A simple list would be anything older than 1964.

With halves it's older than 1971.

I think Diver Down is teasing him to try to get more clad halves out of circulation. :tongue3:- Garbageman

Mojo is kidding around he just wants all the 71's and 76's out of circulation. They are everywhere. I got a $500 bag from a bank that was 100% 1976. I was not pleased

Well, heres the list i gave him as to what to look for.
pennies- 1958 or older
Nickels-1960 or older
dimes/quarters-1964 or older
halves- 1970 or older
dollar coins- 1977 or older.
$1-$20- 1963 or older.
Any foreign coins.
Any 2009 coins.
Any error coins.

If I didn't collect that list would confuse me too much to worry about. Just keep it simple. Tell him anything 1970 and earlier. Then you can just cherry pick.

Sweet setup, also have your cuz save you the star notes, low s/n's and any odd looking bills (miss prints, missing stamps, ect)

Actually, he already knows to look for them because before i got into collecting my grandfather collects too so he would look out for them. So he knows to look for them. He does know what to look for a bit because he got me a 1934 $10 from there already. But about the low serial #, i dont really think he will have that time to look at them but i'll try to tell him. Plus about the list, he kind o knows what to look for too because the 1958 quarter he got he saved and i did'nt give him the list.

tell him to save any penny before 1982. they are the copper ones.
