my daughter found this. i found the buckle

Found these by an old foundation. The material is unknown, appears to be no lettering anywhere. Buckle;2" tall 2 1/2 wide Button; 1 7/8" diamater 1/8" thick. the eagle has a breast shield, round crest overhead, and stalks of wheat (or something) in each talon. Coins found in the area date late 1800s to date

Hi,

Excellent finds! I think the button(?) is a great coat button dated after 1907. I state this date because it looks like there is a circle/seal above the eagle's head. Don't know yet about the buckle!

That's a great url/site that TreasureTales posted. If the "button" is as big as the buckle, then maybe it's an actual badge instead of a button! Worth more! Just a thought!
