I am sure this is nothing someone hasn't done yet but just thought I would share.

My mine lab digging device came with a reg handle grip. After a couple of days digging the grip became loose and started to slip.

I went to my local motorcycle shop and picked up a pair of Scott motorcycle grips (8.00)

Spray hairspray inside the new grip and slip on! (hairspray acts as glue when dry and easier to slide on)

I used it this morning and so far it works out great, The top of the grips also have a donut cushion for your thumb area and works well.

Thanks, It seems to be working with no issues and it reminds me of my motorcross days. ;D

Plus the grip is much easier on your hands.

great idea. My Lesche digger is killing the back of my thumb, just the way I dig my plugs. The bottom of the motocycle grip should take care of that. I will try and let you know. Thanks again

The way I dig does the same, the donut grip at the base totally eliminated that. Good luck, Hope it works for you.

Thats the only downfall to grip glue,I raced motocross for a few years and have scraped many of grips of with a razorblade.

My grip is still going strong.

Here is another alternative to changing out grips, Just use the donut if you need thumb protection.
