um if you think that's a bad day you should see what I've found on my last several hunts........yesterday I hunted all day hoping to find some goodies on two old home sites on family land, both dating to the early 1900's at least and never detected before. I had a good long hike to both to star with and then I came home with one aluminum religious pendant, a couple of small fired round balls, and a few fragments of harmonica reeds. No coins and nothing worth taking pictures of. The hunt before that...on another old home site.....one wheat head penny that someone used for target practic, a play coin, a dime, and some trash. The one before that......couldn't have been much better because I can't even remember finding anything. That's the nature of the hobby. You have to enjoy the hunt. If you make it all about how much you find and how much those finds are worth, you may as well find something else to do for fun because there will be good days and bad days. If you're lucky, every once in a while you will have a great day and/or find a great site that produces goodies for a few different trips. However, even the great sites stop producing after a while. Keep at it, there will be better days (and worse of course). HH and Good luck!
