My Finds Today

[EC.Mason]

Took my new Garrett AT pro out today for the first time. I didnt find any finds of a lifetime, but I got a wheat penny, spoon, and an old rock chisle I found in an old quary that the WPA used.

I don't know much about rock quarrying, but aren't rock chisels longer?
That looks like a splitting wedge for wood.

But I may be wrong.

Took me a lot longer than that to get my first wheatie! Congrats.

Took me a lot longer than that to get my first wheatie! Congrats.

Been out 4 times now and no wheat for me yet

Happy Hunting!

It could be wood. I found it in a pile of rock that the WPA had cut when they built the stone school houses here in Sandy Hook, Ky. I just assumed it was for rock. The funny thing about the wheat is I found it in the first five minutes detecting today on the side of a wooded hill. Didnt find any more old coins for the rest of the day.
