Last Friday I received my first official box of halves the bank ordered for me. I brought them home and started going through them with plans on going through probably 2-3 rolls a night just to get me through the week.

I get through 2 rolls and my sons come in and start helping...then my wife...then my sons friends started showing up (they were going out that night). Before it was over I had 8 people, myself included, going through the one box....needless to say it lasted only about 6 minutes or so and a SKUNK to boot. The kids seemed to enjoy it. I would have loved for one or two of them to find silver, but no luck.

So anyways...I come home last night and I have 19 rolls sitting on the counter. My wife had picked them up in the next town while she was doing buisness over there...what a surprise! Especially since she gave me this look after I mentioned what I was getting into on my first CRH adventure...I think she has the bug now but will never admit it :0)

Getting my 2nd box today...we'll see how it goes.

MERRY CHRISTMAS to all!

it is contagious, better watch it, it doesn't creep up on you. It hits you like a ton of brick. LOL

Careful......like you, I started out with one lonely little box a week. I just finished my three boxes that I got this morning and have four on order for next week. It only gets bigger with time. If the bank forgets to order, you go through withdrawal. The only cure is a dose of silver.
Merry Christmas and happy hunting.

2nd Box....SKUNK!

I've heard the Cleveland region is as bad as Arizona where one guy on this forum says he has found 100 %40 there so far this year. My area(s)are closer to Ohio, have found over 4700 since March; been mighty lucky on around 10 finds ranging from 120 to 758 in single days CRH'in. our Box count for year is in 400 range, skunks running about 1/3rd.

Closer you are to a casino, the worse your chances of silver. Have been pretty lucky so far in Fort Worth...

Why is that?

A lot of casinos use halves and they just end up in the local circulation. Have even heard of boxes of halves with the worn out edges (from casino use)... Not common. Never happened to me. But....
