Not sure about the best way to clean a nickel but I've heard lemon juice is the trick for cruddy silver .

Nice buff I put mine in preoxid for a day then drop it in olive oil don't exspect much most nickels deterate when their in the ground for years but still a good find and for the crusted coin i never see a silver coin look like that but ya never know..congrats on your finds..

I can't tell from your pix, need to know a date on your dime before we try and clean it, same with your nickel. You never know if it is the right date could be worth money. Good luck

nickle is 1936 dime is so blackend cant see anything but united

Try and get a better pic if you can so we can see detail, all I can tell is that the edge on dime is reeded.

If you're sure the dime is silver then try the baking soda/water/in foil method to reduce the blackness.

Nice finds and congrats on your first!

I've had a buff on my 'wanted" list since I started doing this 9 years ago. So last month, I take my kid to the local park, loan him my Whites, amd he pops out a 34 Buff in about 5 mins. Dang! Right in a spot I'd been over at least twice. Ya never know, huh?

Great finds for sure.
