Well, gotta start somewhere. Today's finds including the infamous ca 2000 dime. Old homestead and 2nd Seminole War area. The big item with the 2 holes is NOT metal, but feels like it, is thick and I have no clue on what the material could be. Does not seem to be clay either, odd.View attachment 1900067View attachment 1900068

The first of many to come. Congrats mate.

Congrats on getting the first one, may the next one be a silver.

I can still remember my first over 50yrs ago-1936 penny, I still remember running home a mile with the Whites Goldmaster! I looked for a dot for days on that one...:laughing7:
(Thanks for stirring up a memory)

Congrats! And so the addiction begins!

Congrats on your first coin. I like that pocket knife also.

Thanks, and that is a very hard one to put a time frame on. I didn't realize they made like 100 freaking styles a year lol. On ebay I was looking and best guess is 70's to late 90's. Real wood and 3 folding items (2 knifes and not sure on the other).

Congratulations on your first coin !! I am sure there are many more coin finds in your future.

Great! Congratulations! My first coin found with my first detector was found by my wife... a 1890's Indian Head cent! Last time she ever detected! My first coin was a 1938 Lincoln cent. Both were found in my front yard in the early 1970's. Thanks for stirring up the memories!
