My First day's dig's

Well it says share what you found today so I am sharing what I found. One grommet, five buttons and a hunk of metal that I have no idea what it could be. It does not stick to a magnet and under a magnifying glass you can see shiny silver like stuff. Not sure, but having lots of fun anyway!

Happy hunting all,
Nancy

Welcome aboard, more good finds are coming your way.

I will do that and thanks for the tip. I have been wondering how to clean, or even if I should, the things I find. Good thing I have lots of toothpicks!

Yes my very first hunt! and I have about four acres to go! I can't wait to get back out

Great first hunt and welcome from another Nancy!

The unknown metal could be lead. Odd, too, that I found a button yesterday that looks just like yours below the grommet between it and the lead bit.

Five one piece flat buttons on your first hunt is an awesome start, Nancy! Keep on hitting that site. It looks like a good one. Welcome to TNet!
Nick

Thank you everyone. I look forward to finding more treasures. I will continue to post what I find. Unfortunately right now, it looks like the weekends are going to be my only treasure hunting days, but better than none at all.

How can I find out if it is lead? Cool on the button find.
