My first ever metal detecting experience. Today.. about 80 cents in clad!

So I headed out with my newly acquired tejon today... Most all of the ground is still pretty tough to dig / frozen. However I couldn’t back down. First day ever metal detecting and it was awesome. I’m still learning the ground balance on this... Sometime I get it sometimes I don’t. So came home with standard coins. X2 quarters, 1 dime and a bunch of pennies. Also a rock really set off the detector even in scap mode... iron ore? Sticks to a magnet... Can’t wait to do it again! Strange the 50 cents was in the middle of nowhere alongside a river far from the main park area. Also nailed my first pull tab and twisted up soda can lol

Was up there about a dozen years ago, they had streets and sidewalks all torn up and I had some in that stuff and got some silver too! You got a great machine and a pretty good place to use it.

Thanks! I just read the book again and the ground balancing will be a cinch... nothing to it.
Going to have a ball no doubt. Sweet learning up the glosary of terms for detecting. Im off to fleet farm today to pick up more gear lol! Regards,
