ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1465675825.144078.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1465675848.496605.webp. Hello! I am extremely new to all of this. Don't really know how to hunt for stuff other than walkin down a creek. My family moved into a new house and my brothers quad dug up some dirt in the yard, found this sticking out of it. Thought it was beautiful. Pictures were taken right after I picked it up. Any help dating it or knowing who made it would be great. Found in Cincinnati Ohio on the east side in Anderson about 10 minutes from the Ohio river. Thanks for reading

Walking down a creek is always good. Looks like an Archaic point, but can't tell which one. Nice find.

Welcome to the party. You are off to a great start on finding things. Keeping yours eyes to the ground is just the start. Nice point. Good Luck and Happy Hunting

Welcome to the site! That's a great find and maybe sift the dirt it came out of. Looks like your family moved to the right spot!

Beautiful find and very old(I think). You did great...

Nice one dig some more ground maybe put a big garden in. If I had found it I would think Woodland but I find so many from that time frame.

It might help if we knew what region of the country this point was found in. I am no good at point IDs but someone here should be able to ID it for you.

Nice find , keep looking in that area, because there are a lot of artifacts around there. Welcome to T-net:hello:

Congrats! Keep looking in that area and yes, maybe screen some.

Cincinnati Ohio doesn't narrow it down enough? [emoji12]

Whoa! Congratulations! It looks like a real nice knife. I am not an expert but maybe it is a worn Morrow Mountain or maybe an Adena culture piece.
There are a lot more knowledgeable in your area and maybe they will see and chime in!
Congratulations and welcome to the hobby!
