My first gold ring...help with identifying.

I unearthed my first gold ring. 10K, but with an unusual carved stone on it. Can anyone help identify the figure on the stone?

Not sure what the stone is. But it looks a lot like the carving on the silver ring I dug a week or so ago. As best I could find out was it's of Roman centurions double cameo, and the style was popular in the 30's and 40's. Maybe someone with more information will chime in.

Yeah, it's cool. I also just noticed that the stone is bracketed left-right with a tiny diamond.

Thanks for the interpretation. I'm having a jeweler assess it today and will report back on the find.

OK, got back from the Jeweler:

Common gentleman's ring from the 50's and 60's
1/3 weight gold ring (10k)
2 single cut diamonds
The medieval head design is what was cool back then.
Assessed value: $300.

Thanks. You know, it's true what they say about digging nearly everything, because you never know what might be the next big payoff. This ring alone nearly pays off my weeks old BH Platinum I just got. Very cool.
