My first Half dime and it's a Capped Bust

After the rain stopped I decided to go check out a bean field and it had been harvested. This was a permission from last year and did pretty well there. I never expected to see this when it popped out I could see it was a small silver so I'm thinking a Seated but no a Capped Bust!

Congrats! She's a beauty! !! Were you next to where an old homesite used to be in the field? I'm going to my first field to detect this weekend. I always wonder how far from the "homesite" I should detect considering the large size of the area.

I always start where the home site was and work your way out until you run out of signals and then work it from a different direction.

Wow, great find. I recently took a buddy of mine to a spot that I have dug 9 large cents at. I had yet to find a silver coin there and hoped that I would. My friend says I have silver LOL. I said a couple swear words but was happy that he got his first capped bust and his first half dime all-in-one coin. I later went there and done a cut half reale so I guess that counts as my first silver coin from there.
