Hi all I got out with some friends today to an old foundation site.I have hunted this site before in the spring and summer but never in the winter.During the warmer weather the grass is to thick to really search effectively.....so there is one good thing about the snow.I wasn't there long when I found an old spoon.....little further I got a crusty large cent.......then about 10 feet away in a real swampy area I got a weak signal and dug an awesome 1837 seated 1/2 dime....missed the capped bust by one year ! This is my first ever 1/2 dime find and my oldest US silver yet.
