My first hunt with my dad

i went on my first hunt when i came up to oklahoma to see my dad. it was really fun, we went to el reno oklahoma, in the woods. our first find was a little lead bullet that we didnt have to dig for we just moved some leaves and it was on the ground. next we found an old brakeshoe key off of a train car (i know this because my dad fixes train cars for the railroad) (its the long curvy metal thing.) next we found an old shotgun shell that was very illusive (it took a while to find because it was 6 to 8 inches in the ground). later we found some barbed wire that we left alone. after that we found another shotgun shell. then we found a brass item that we have no idea what it is (if anyone knows what it is it would be greatly appreciated)(it is engraved with the markings prier k.c.mo. on one side and the other side has 2x1 1/2x4 1/8). then our best find came just after finding the brass item which is a folding hunting knife (even though it isnt that old it was still really cool to dig up.) next we found an anchor hocking bottle dated 1955. after that we found an old belt buckle. then we found an old ice bucket dated 1963 with its original lid. then our metal detector went nuts when we found an old car haha . all in all i really liked my first treasure hunt and i look forward to doing it again but this time i could do with out the beer cans lol.

sounds like you had a great time, and those are some really good finds for your first time out. Good luck leaving out the beer cans, I still find several of those everytime I go out.
And to spend time with your dad that is the best treasure of all

Nice finds..I used to have a knife like that until I broke the tip of it prying something.

Nice huntin' ! Yup theres always the sick beer cans or pop cans.I don;t know about you but they always ring up pretty good on my machine.Maybe I should toss my old used batteries in beer cases for the beer drinkers to find.HH...Panz
