After digging for about 4 hours pulling up clad and bottle caps, I finally dug my first Indian Head. Can't complain about that condition! Still haven't broken in to the 1800's yet.. but that's for another day. FB_IMG_1491229660607.webpFB_IMG_1491229667826.webp

I also rate the design of Indian Head penny at the top of my list as favorite USA coins. Even more so when they look like the one posted here. Simply gorgeous.

Sweet!congrats!!!

Congrats on your first IH and she's in Awesome shape!!

Thanks everyone! My father (who's holding the coin in this pic) dug a 1903 about 5' from where this was dug. It was quite a bit crustier. It really makes me realize how lucky I was to pull one in this condition!

WOW that was probably lost in 1900 from the looks of it.

THUD Yep me hitting the Floor My first was toast HH Chug

Awesome IHP!

Question - How did you get permission to hunt the front lawn of the Philadelphia Mint? That thing is in beautiful condition!

Sweet, looks like it was dropped day before yesterday.

What a beauty. I'm found 1 Indian 1904 and it was at up.
