Finally got permission to metal detect a friends family property. One of the first houses built in my city, about 1840’s. Thought I would have found a bit more but won’t complain! Got my first ever mercury dime! So thrilled

As most would agree - no matter how many you dig in the future - finding Merc's, is always a thrill - one of the best looking coins they ever minted !

Nicely done. They are a truly beautiful coin. Now go find a whole roll of them!!!
 
So now you have to get some coin folders. Put that Mercury in a coin folder and mark it
"FIRST"
 
Congrats there will be many more. Put her in a nice holder
