My First Merc

Went out to a hillside by an old school in Southern Cal and found my first merc. At first I thought it was a 21 before I washed the dirt off. But a 44 is ok. No mint mark. Found it with the yeller feller (Ace 250).
I'm so glad I finally found a merc - I've been detecting for about 6 months now and ready for a DFX.
Across the street in a vacant lot I found a '30 wheatie. Not a bad morning.

Congrats on that nice merc! That ACE 250 is a nice machine, but once you learn it, you just want to move up........I know the feeling, as I used to detect with one.
