I found this earlier this summer while metal detecting. Was in the plug i noticed something white and picked it up. Also found this copper ear spool in the same area later. Posted it in today’s finds no one was interested I think it’s awesome

Here’s it now. I’ll try and get a better picture of the spool. It has such a thick layer of oxidation. Under a loop that dark brown layer is actually a dark dark green

I like the point, I’d guess a Snyder’s cluster. I don’t know anything about ear spools but pretty cool if it is.

Michigan

The Snyder ID seems right. Michigan has had a lot of copper artifacts found there of course because of the abundance of high quality raw copper deposits.

Yeah I find a bit of float copper as well. Don’t know where the rest is. I did find that big one in the same area as the point and the spool though
